2009 Tarpons have arrived at ARC!

A lot of folks have been asking about them and they've finally arrived, Tarpon 100, 120, 140 & 160 with completely new deck layouts ... larger tankwells, new hatches, gear pockets, deck "slides" for rigging, phase 3 seat, hull looks the same but the deck had major rehab!

Freedom Hawk Kayaks are on the way for anyone looking for stability (anyone that fished the tournament will remember they worked great for the project healing waters participants)

The new motorized ultimate is in for anyone trying to keep up with Cory and looking for a boat to register...

New Prowler Tridents are also in, 11, 13 & 15...

Everyone is rehabing their fishing lineup...
Vic

Re: 2009 Tarpons have arrived at ARC!

Vic sold me the first one of the year on Tuesday.  Looks like a break in the weather for Friday and I am taking a vacation day tomorrow to paddle and decide how I want to rig it.  Looking forward to seeing you all out there.

Re: 2009 Tarpons have arrived at ARC!

Info is hard to find on the '09s.  I combined a couple of pictures I found online.  Here is the difference between the red '08 and the orange '09!

I compared the two boats in the store and the hull from the waterline down appears unchanged from '08.  The rear hatch has been removed and the real well significantly enlarged.  The seat now DRAINS through scuppers!  There are a pair of covered cubby holes just in front of the seat.  The bow appears to have substantially more volume/buoyancy.  No more sleek touring-look with the tapered bow and stern.  No more ridge on the center of the bow.  Nice locking hatchcovers on the new boat.

Anyone need a an angler-equipped 3-month old '08 used four times in freshwater...?
