Last year they had camping available - which means that you can pitch a tent on a old runway near the launch site.  No running water, 1 bathroom. 

other than the accomidations, very fun event.  lots of big fish, but if you want to have a shot at winning, drag a red piece of surgical tubing tipped with a bloodworm along the bottom of the channels. I did have a really good time at the event and may do it again some other year.

Other FYI you will pay more in tolls for bridges and turpikes that you will for gas gettingt here and back.

Other trips are starting to sound better after all, many different things to consider.  We plan on fishing the TKAA this year, but  if we were to choose ONE other tourney outside of VA within a reasonable driving distance, which one would you guys recommend, and why?  I could probably get five days off, but NOT over a holiday, our busiest times at DGIF are over the holiday weekends.
