I just use the $5 water shoes from walmart, they work fine and the price is good. "12 ft. Manta Ray-- 55 yr old engine" Tarpon 120, Pungo Classic, MEMBER TKAA BOTTOM 10 CLUB |

If you want to stick with a sandal type shoe I highly recommend the Keen sandals as they offer more protection especially around the toes.

I really like the Keen Newports. I have had three pairs of Teva's over the past few years. They are very comfortable but the straps pull out from the base of the sandal and the velcro allways comes loose. The Keen's are great..........lots of ventalation, good traction, and the toe is protected.

You get what you pay for. I got a pair of Teva Protons at WRO just before the camping trip. Since then I have worn them in hot weather, in sand, on oyster bars, running through knee deep mud chasing after fiddler crabs, and in the kayak. I do not have one complaint.

I like my Timberland Plunge Tech shoes. They are a $70 shoe, but I found them at Overstock.com for $29. I need a big shoe because of wide feet, and these were thonly ones that would fit me at size 14. I have seen the smaller sizes in the Sportsmans Guide flier for real cheap. Extreemly confortable, and don't get funky like my sandal shoe when worn all day. It is worth checking out!

I love my crocs except for one thing - Tried wading the Lynnhaven inlet and the mud kept sucking mine off of my foot! Something that zips up like Suber suggested or has serious straps would be my recommendation. WS Ride 135, OK Big Game Prowler "Meat is Murder - Tasty, Tasty Murder!" |
