momois diamond braid
Modified By alanredfish on 8/26/2008 9:28:32 AM)

After a time test of 8 months, I thought I'd post my experience with a braid that appears to be awesome.   Todd, owner of Bayside Bait and Tackle, suggested I try momois diamond braid.    He claims it is truly round and works great with spinning reels.   I agree.   The 15lb test casts very smoothly and extremely far, very sensitive and doesn't flake or lose color.   I use leader, he doesn't, but it knots to leader very well.   I use fireline for smallmouth fishing, but this I use for salt on my spheros reels.    Its definately superior to fireline.   I had one really bad birds nest with it, but it was from user error.   It is expensive and can only be obtained in bulk, which is why I got it from Todd.   He charged $16 to put it on, but worth every penny and more.   If you can tell the difference between a $30 and $100 lifejacket or mono and braid, then I suggest trying this line.
