What to do with the fish
I'm really struggling with this one.  I will keep some of the fish I catch on occassion and I can't come up with a good solution to store them while fishing.  Up to this point I've put them on a stringer but I'm a little nervous of the "critters" out there with that option.  I have some room for a cooler but not sure about the size I could fit in the yak.  What do you guys do?  If a cooler, what size?

thanks

Re: What to do with the fish
I like to use a stringer most of the time.  never had a problem with critters cause I rarely have fish to put on the stringer.  It depends on how much tackle I want to bring on a particular day.  With the adventure, drag isnt much of a problem either.

Thank you Trevor for your response..  I need to meet some of you guys so that you'll answer some of my questions...maybe they're just stupid.

Is there a mtg next Wednesday night?

Re: What to do with the fish

Sam's Club sells (or used to) a refrigerated bag to keep your ice cream in on the way home.  I use that.  It is easy to store without fish.  Keep a couple of blue ices in it and it should keep the fish relatively fresdh until you get home.  Of course, you wouldn't want to borrow the one your wife uses.  Once used for this purpose, she won't ever want it back.

Re: What to do with the fish

I found a 8 dollar mesh zipper douffule bag.  that I put a string on.

If I am moveing from one plafce to the other, I put it behind me between me and the milk crate and when I am stationary, I throw it overboard like a stringer.  It also works well as a pseudo wind sock.

Re: What to do with the fish

I do what Cosign does.  If you forget to bring the bag in, you'll wonder why it's suddenly so hard to paddle...<LOL>.  Only problem I have with that is the fish only stay alive a few hours or less that way.  I've toyed with the idea of putting a circular float in the bag so the fish can swim around a little, but storing it while paddling would be a pain.  And, I'm to lazy to actually build one to see how it'd work..

Re: What to do with the fish

I (and most folks who keep) do the stringer thing.  Never been bothered by "critters", even with striper at night at the CBBT.  Now if it were to happen, I'd probably change my tune.
