About the area...not so much on the launch.

My wife and I are thinking about camping at the Army Corps of Engineers gauging station up the Dismal Swamp Canal.  I was just wondering what the water depth is up the canal and the feeder ditch.  I'd hate to bottom-out a canoe loaded down with camping gear.  Thanks.

There is plenty of water there.  You can camp when you get there and carry the boat over and paddle into Lake Drummond if you want.
