We were in Chincoteague over the weekend. We Launched out of Curtis Merrit Harbor twice and Memorial park another time. To launch at any of the city owned launches you need a permit from the city. During normal business hours these are available at the city offices. The cost of the permit is seven dollars for a week or twenty dollars for the year.  Off hours the permits are available at the police station which is the same building.

Curtis Merritt is the largest of four boat launches owned by the city of Chincoteague. This launch puts you right in Chincoteague channel at the inlet to the Atlantic.
