Lynnhaven Bay

I was looking at the satellite images of Lynnhaven Bay.  Is the boat ramp next to the bridge the public launch site?

Re: Lynnhaven Bay

Hey Rodney,

Yea that is the boat ramp on the inlet side we usually launch at. Pretty short paddle over to the flats and wall. Its two dollars to park using the honor system and you launch from the sand by the forward parking area, not the boat ramp itself. There is a sign there thats marked canoe/kayak launch. - Jason

Re: Lynnhaven Bay
Speaking of Lynnhaven, anyone know of a public launch back in Thalia near the Ferry Plantation House?

Re: Lynnhaven Bay

I have found a place to access Lynnhaven River Eastern Branch. It is semi-private and there are some requirements that must be adhered to to keep this site available.

1. NO TRASH to be left, that means used GULPS thrown about, or unused bait thrown in water at ramp.

2.TRY to buddy up with yaks to reduce # of vehicles, but not a requirement

3.Keep noise levels down if you are launching @ night, as this is an Apartment Community with units at ramp.

This is a great access to a part of Lynnhaven that IS NOT heavily fished and holds some of our target species.

The site is located In Lynnhaven Landing Apartments @ the end of Reagan Ave. off Old Great Neck Rd. Enter complex take your 2nd left  on Riverwood Ct and follow around till you see ramp to your left.

I also have another site in the works and I will update as I find out more......PEACE OUT.
