Launched a sunset, high tide was well over the docks. Saw 4 or 5 yaks out fishing. I casted all around the island and no hits. Went over to the green light and every time a bait fish appeared on the surface a big ol' trout came out of the dark and nabed it. I went through the entire tackel box and nothing would get a strike. They follow it but would not hit it. Then the property owner comes out and turns the green light off. :( so I peddle on out to to the lights on the wall. Its boiling, the water was like glass and there were so many fish the water was boiling. I stayed back and cast lots of tiny lures picked up a small grey trout. I went on over and realized they were spot. OK, have not had a mess of spot in over a year. so I hooked a single hook on with a fish bite blood worm and it was ever cast. till I had a mess.
About 10 pm the big trout came in and the spot dissapeared, I could see them but no lure would entice them to bite. I remember over at the concrete ships the grey trout would only hit a 1 inch yellow dart and I did not have any. OH I had a fireworks show and LIVE music all evening, cool!
