Kickin' Bass-04/13 

Took Chad and his son Austin over to Smithfield yesterday afternoon and the bite was really on. Fished for 4 hours and I picked up 21 nice bass in the 16-18" range and I believe Chad picked up another dozen or so. He had to leave a little earlier then me so I'm sure he would have caught more. Senkos were the right bait. Nice afternoon! Forrest

Found this neat little spot in the back of a cove and it was loaded with bass. At one point I went out and waded the shoreline and picked up a few. Almost like stalking trout on the York River.

4/18 - fished a few hours this afternoon at my favorite P-town hole after I woke up from a late night outting at the HRBT - released 10 about the same size as Forrest the bass-assassin's in the pic above and lost a few more. Bass on beds everywhere - had to see at least 30 fish. Peak bass time is here.
