i think what we are using is fine, and only makes it more interesting. Gotta love those guys using 4 and 6lb test. i like my bass pro shiner special rod with the Garcia Ambassador reels. Those reels are just plain tough for the money. i bought one second hand from Cory to match my other rig and combined it with an Ugly Stick. I do believe there is a forty pounder to be had. The two bruisers I caught this week made me a believer. i might not make it with you guys on Mon or Tues with my work schedule, but I will be there Thursday with baits in buckets, as i am getting them Wednesday night. i want to explore a few more locations while the water is low. The area below the wetlands feeds a generous rapids on the northside of the river. These rapids are followed by a fairly swift and deep pool with many eddys. I am not sure how secluded it is from bathers, but looks like a pime spot for early am and late pm flatheadin'.

     Leave me a couple this week, and lets hope the weather holds out1
