Worst.

Limerick.

EVER.

 <ROTFLOL>  Sorry, couldn't resist...

Little sore Nelly went out to the show; with pole in hand she flaunted and bowed; but her yak it did sink; poor Nelly turtled in the drink; an amatuer always she'll never turn pro.

Ok, correction..THATS the worst limerick ever....<G>

I thought you were talking about me for a minute.  This weekend I actually left my stakeout pole in my scupper hole as I was drifting past the tennis courts in Lynhaven. (tryting to slow the drift) Kinda forgot about it. As I drifted over towards Bubba's and the concrete pile, I heard what I thought was the boat catching on the rocks and turning me.  As I learned later, it was my pole catching the top of the concrete and it could have been a pretty bad situation in that current.  Later, when I pulled just the handle of the pole out of the scupper, I realized it had snapped off during that drift. Oh well, lesson learned.

Re: Ummmmm

a couple years ago at the JAX tournament, Jeff was staked out and drifted over the pole without knowing it.  when he paddled away the pole in his scupper tore a big hole in the boat and he had a muddy walk back while we towed his boat to the ramp.

Re: Ummmmm

I was born to entertain people.  Without me, and Grommet, Knot Right, Ruthless, DK, Kayak Kevin, Mr Burley, and all ya'll, people would not have those fantastic stories to tell.  Like your Co-workers, who point and snicker, "In a Kayak".
