In case you somehow missed it on the homepage, we have the official tourament page up and running. It provides links to registration (on-line and manual), rules, accomodations, tides, entry list, and local facilities. It also has links to our very generous sponsors who are donating thousands of dollars in prize and raffle items. Each logo is a link to that sponsors site, so please visit them and show our support.
Remember the first 75 registered entires get a pretty cool captains bag with goodies, a t-shirt, and an extra raffle ticket. I'll post more about prizes later, but we have kayaks for first place in the slam, species, and fly divisions (with enough participation). The early registration has been extended to Sept 12. $50 until then (must be postmarked or in hand by that date) and then it does to $65. Remember that we have a fly, female, and youth division this year.
Remember this is for a great cause. For those that participated last year, the pride we all felt when the members of Project Healing Waters stood up after a tough day of fishing and expressed how much they enjoyed the day was just hard to describe. They'll be with us again this year, so let's show them how much we support them. Even if you are not a "tournament" fisherperson, come out and enjoy a great time with your fellow yakkers. We all know half of this fishing thing is luck anyway and you'll be suppporting a great cause.
Last year we had 100 people fishing. Let's go for more this year and really make this a fun and meaningful tournament. We have a new tournament headquarters that is centrally located and roomy with plenty to parking.
Hope to see everyone on the water.
