| 15th Annual Anglers Club Challenge |
|
|
The roster is full but we still need a couple of reliable guys to stand by incase someone drops out. Send your money to Wayne as soon as possible.
Ok, it's time to get this thing started. Prepare yourselves for our third round in this title fight. Round 1 we came on strong and let them know we mean business. Round 2 we took a bit of a beating. Round 3............well lets just say I'm feeling pretty confident.
We need to get people to commit to this and get fired up for a great tourney. I want everyone to remember that this is a charity tourney. We need to act like big boys and girls. When the boat clubs try to make things hard on us just grin and let it go like water off a duck's back. Please, do not talk smack on any of the web sites. I want us to walk in quietly, fish our asses off, then when the numbers come in we celebrate the hard earned victory. We want to remind everyone that TKAA is the class act.
They've started allready. They are charging us 25.00 per kayak rather than 60.00 for a team of 4. But, that's ok. This is a charity event after all and what is a couple extra bucks? Don't rock the boat.
We will field 5 teams again and the participants from previous years will get priority.

Trevor, have you been to some kind of anger management class I didn't know about? Like you will really be able to hold your tounge when the s### starts to fly . I will be oblivious unless they talk it here or in person. I pretty much stopped looking at the other fishing boards. I don't care about the entry fee. We will have to wait and see what kind of other bull crap rules come up. I'm not quite ready to pinky swear I won't talk trash .

Thats is so BS. We are paying $100 for a team of 4 compared to a boat team of 4 (5) with a non fishing captian.) thats only $60. Thats BS, no way around it. For a 3 kayak minimum, we are paying $75, for 3 people fishing, for a 3 boat minimum they are paying $180, but for 12 people fishing. Thats only $15 per person on a PB. But $25 per person in a kayak, thats has a lot less range and limited space, not to say less lines in the water, cause you know them guys will have at least 2 lines per person per boat. Just BS for sure. Champion of the TKAA 2007 Annual Kayak Fish for Charity Tournament, Orange Hobie Revolution, Yellow WS Ride 135 |

Dont sweat it, they are trying to eliminate us by making it tougher to enter. I personally have no problem with the $25. I am in again this year, inshore like Chad. |

If we each pay $25 dollars then we will fish harder for sure. When we win this thing it will be $60 per kayak next year.

I agree, it is BS. It's just not worth my time to worry about it. I'm just going to talk trash about that and any other bs they come up with . You know we get no respect from MOST boaters. Alot of them are buying kayaks now. Either that or they are jamming up our spots because they don't want to spend the $ to run out to the 4th island. Trevor,
Did you get my e-mail message? Essentially I wrote that I would like to do this again this year. I will fish inshore with any team you want me to. David Haynie "slowfish" will NOT be fishing with us this year as he is off on the Gulf Coast doing, guess what, fishing. Where do you want the $$$s sent to? Think of the extra fee as a "fuel adjustment" fee only the extra bucks go to the charity and not Big Oil! The extra $10.00 is chicken feed afterall.
Trevor,
May I fish again on the Back River on "forrests" team? I'll bring his catch to the weigh in assuring it gets there on time. Once you see that no one really wins, The Majic begins. JBuffett |

Hmmmm. Twice! You MUST be making up for something. As I launch from the ramp closest to the HRBT and he launches accross the river, I will encourage that the fish travel with me. Can't promise it though. Once you see that no one really wins, The Majic begins. JBuffett |

If the kayak teams have to have a "minimum of three" could we use that to our advantage and field 7 3-yak teams, v. 5 4-yak teams to spread out the are we cover.
$25 is not much to pay to participate. Concerning the "fair" thing' it's not worth getting upset about. Why spend your time arguing with a jerk? Let's win a category or three and let our fishing speak for itself. In the end, we are getting at least as much enjoyment out of it and we are donating more money to the children than they are. That about says it all in my book.

The wife has given me clearence to fish the tourny. So I am in. I would like to fish inshore or near shore. (i.e. Lynnhaven, HRBT, CBBT, Rudee). Not interested in the eastern shore unless its Kiptopeake. Also, I need to know when the money is due?
