TKAA CHARITY TOURNEY 2008 TRASH TALKING FORUM -OFFICIAL SITE!

It's a little early for this but I didn't want anyone to beat me to it so here it is!  I'll bump it if it gets to far down the line.

DISCLAIMER:  Please don't be offended if, by some off chance, someone misleads you on a location, lure, bait, or existence of a launch site, etc, etc, etc.    I mean, most of us wouldn't do that, I just wouldn't recommend taking this thread TO seriously.

Re: TKAA CHARITY TOURNEY 2008 TRASH TALKING FORUM -OFFICIAL SITE!

Here is a good place to start.  The 'hot ditch' is a good place to target flounder.  Your best bet is to go to the local tackle shop and buy a pre-rigged flounder rig.  Try for flounder there but you will have to go somewhere else for the trout and redfish, like, say, THE COLEMAN BRIDGE.  Bloodworms on a standard hi-lo bottom rig works best for the trout.  Troll a stretch 30 for the redfish.

Here is a google earth for the hot ditch:

TKAA PRESS RELEASE---

In an attempt to assimilate with other area kayak clubs, the TKAA Board of Directors Wednesday voted to eschew the practice of awarding and /or raffling kayak-related paraphenelia and will instead recognize its champions with lithographic reproductions of kayak-related artwork. The practice will begin wilth the 4th Anuual Kayak for Charity Tournament, to be held at Saturday, September 28, 2008 at 10AM. "It seems only fitting", said Cory "Glory" Routh, "that we award photos for a Catch-Photo-Release tournament." At this time, TKAA had only secured the artwork for the Grand Slam champion (as seen below) and was

img171/5936/chader9.jpg

actively seeking contributions to award winners in other categories. "It shouldn't be a problem," explained Chad "Choad" Hoover, "if need be, I'll shave my back and wear a halter top to get this done." Upon hearing Hoover's statements, a spokesmen for TKAA's charity, Project Healing Waters, declined any official comment, saying only "I think I threw up a little in my mouth".

Now that I would wear, it's tasteful, simple and has a great story behind it.

Not so with the billboard sized embroidered Perception Logo that you had last year- that thing was as large as the "S" on Superman's cape  (or would it be Suberman's cape in this case?).

The   MASTER of misinformation hard at work again. Just a fair warning to all, be sure you pre-fish any location you plan to fish in the tourney !!

Believe me just because someone tells you they and/or one of their lackeys caught fish in a location, even the day before, don't believe them they may be trying to throw you off your beaten path so you can't win  !!!

That would never happen. It's for charity for crying out loud. Just be sure you're ready for the 10am launch and you'll be fine.

It could be you, Suber, but:

a) the water's deeper than 2 feet
b) the subject hasn't impaled his hand with a hook
c) there's no stakeout pole in the scupper
d) there's no Marker 10 outside Rudee

a) the water's deeper than 2 feet And I did not hit a channel marker and lose all my stuff

c) there's no stakeout pole in the scupper. And I did not hit a channel marker and lose all m stuff.
d) there's no Marker 10 outside Rudee and I did not lose all my stuff

So all in all, I did not hit a channel marker in 4 feet of water on an incoming tide, and lose all my stuff.  As a matter of fact in all of my mishaps, I did not lose any of my stuff.

Well, I gotta comend you on that, Sparky. You've been flipped over more than a two-bit hooker. Hey you got any neat drawings of your yak with a cracked scupper hole being towed while you walked through a marsh back to the swamp?

BTW--I didn't 'lose' anything: it was 'forcibly upgraded'.

And to get us back on topic: did you do any better last year than the year before, when you ended up below me on the leader board?

Re: TKAA CHARITY TOURNEY 2008 TRASH TALKING FORUM -OFFICIAL SITE!

You guys need to leave Suber alone !! The guy knows what he's doing !!

Think about all the guys that have (or need to have) turtle stickers to offcially commemorate their 'mishaps' . Now try to name just one that has acheived the status of having that turtle documented by photos taken by the then TKAA president and 'founding father' of the club so that they (the photos) could be displayed over the counter at one of the most popular tackle shops in the area (OE2)

Now tell me is that doing it 'in style' or what
