Hello from GKF

I just signed up here.  I'm Fishing Fanatic on GeorgiaKayakFishing.com.  I serve the club as VP and tournament coordinator.  I'm also on the Ocean Kayak Pro Staff.  Wanted to hang out here some to see whats up with TKAA.  I'm a fresh water guy who likes to fish saltwater a few times a year.  Living in the middle of the state makes it hard to get to the coast too often.  I like to river fish for Largemouth Bass and Shoal Bass.  GKF is busy with our 2nd tournament of the year at Lake Lanier coming up this weekend.  In October we'll be in Savannah having our 3rd and Grand Finale.  Come see us!

Re: Hello from GKF

Oh, yeah, Lake Lanier, I've been on your site! Pretty cool!

There's a contingent here that does fresh. In fact, our best flounder fisherman gave it up to hit the sweet water all year. I couldn't do it. I'm addicted to salt.

I'm pretty sure I spammed   posted on your site about our upcoming tourney. Gas prices are dropping like a rock, y'all come on up and fish the Charity Tournament and I'm sure we could find a few volunteers to head South!!!

Re: Hello from GKF

Bring your teammates to the tournament too!  Saltwater rules, I realize that now that I am stuck fishing for little fish in the Potomoc...  Welcome aboard!

Re: Hello from GKF

I also wanted to say "hello" to Chad.  He and I are working on a few things for his new book.  I think you'll find some things in it that are very interesting and different from conventional coastal kayak angling.  Fishing Georgia rivers from a kayak is quite an experience.  Chad will get a taste of it first hand pretty soon.   Come on down Chad... those "Shoalies" are waitin' for ya...
